Who Are Prices Spices?
We are a small family business based in Leamington Spa producing artisan preserves, sauces and chutneys. Everything we produce contains some level of spice from our home grown chillies. In August 2014 Prices Spices were delighted to receive a Great Taste Gold Award from the Guild of Fine Food for ‘India Joywala’, a ‘Pineapple and Dorset Naga Chilli Chutney’
What makes Prices Spices different from the next artisan producer on the shelf? Not only do we produce our wares in Leamington Spa, we also grow a number of the featured ingredients too. We grow most of the chillies we use and various other ingredients. For the produce we don’t grow, we use local suppliers and try to source items locally. Our produce is ‘Home Grown & Hand Made in Leamington Spa’ on our packaging, to showcase that where possible, we like to keep food miles to a minimum.
We also layer the flavours in each product. You’ll be able to taste all of the different elements of a product before the heat of the spice or chilli comes through. You might draw comparison to the bubble gum scene in ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ movie?
The ingredients in anything Prices Spices is of the finest quality, we use well respected brands, becuase their products are important to making ours taste as good as they do. The vinegars we use are from Aspall, salt from Maldon, English mustard powder from Colmans, sugar from Billingtons and certain spices from Natco.
