Keralan Lemon Pickle – South Indian Pickle
Lemon Pickle is a great alternative to the better known lime pickle. The taste and texture is similar as you’d expect. As it’s naturally quite acidic it makes for a great pickle without having to add too much to it. There’s 100% Natural ingredients so there’s no surprises and no nasties. You may find more uses for this but right now all we love it for is putting on poppadum or a sandwich. Enjoying all those flavours that shout out indian food at its finest. The flavours this pickle really exudes are the fresh curry leaves, toasted spices and chunks of garlic.
The reason this pickle is so much better than others, is simply the texture… If there’s one thing we dislike with budget versions is the chewy rind! We ensure that the Keralan Lemon Pickle has soft, melt in the mouth fruit. It’s going to give you enough warmth to know it’s a genuine Indian style pickle whilst allowing you to taste all of the layers of flavour it possesses.
It’ll warm you up ready for that flavoursome Indian meal to come, should you find other uses or think you know how it could be used we’d love you to submit your recipe to feature on our site. If nothing else we’d love to hear your thoughts if you’d be kind enough to leave us a review. Using your feedback allows us to tweak and improve our products. Prices Spices India Joywala is quite literally sugar, spice and all things nice…
