Haitian Sensation Video review!

Its a freezing fucking cold Thursday night, so what better time to put out another video review and combat the cold, with a spicy little number! (btw, that’s fucking bullshit, eating chilli during the winter will NOT warm you up, you’ll just be cold and in pain.)

Ingredients –  Kesar Mango Pulp (Kesar Mango, Sugar, Water, Citric Acid) (71.4%), Tomato, Distilled White Vinegar, Onion, White Wine Vinegar, Scotch Bonnet Chilli (4.2%), Garlic, Lemon Juice, Ginger, Salt, Pepper.

So, as you can see from the ingredients, Mr Price has not put any artificial nasties or colouring into “Haitian Sensation” which is very nice to see, in fact i think a lot of UK chilli producers are making all natural sauces these days, rather than putting E numbers and other unnatural shite in them for no real good reason, so i applaud that! This is a primarily mango based hotsauce that borrows a lot of flavours from the west indies it seems…in fact, i’ll stfu and you guys watch the vid!

As you no doubt saw, this is no pushover of a sauce, its got a nice kick of heat, and a metric fuckton of natural flavours, most noticeably from the Kesar mango which makes up a good 71% of the sauce! As i mention in the video, the use of the mango has quite clearly taken away the bitter bite that comes with the scotch bonnet chilli, which only comes in very, very mildly as an aftertaste, rather than hitting you from the starting block and making the whole experience a bit shit.

Its £4 a bottle from Prices Spices and you should have a look at the other products while you are there too, i have “India Joywala” to review also, so keep an eye out for that! Mr Price has also put up some cracking recipes on his site to show you how to maximise the use of his sauces to their full potential, take a look, you might feel inspired!

I gave the bottle to Mav as a gift for helping me review it, but if i didn’t already have a ton of sauce to get through, i would definitely buy this as i reckon it would go well on just about anything, particularly fish, chicken and chips/fries (or whatever the fuck you call them in your part of the world!) but if my suggestions haven’t made ya mouth water, then check the site out!

So…its that time again where i go back to recording and editing vids ready for next week, i hope you enjoyed the video and pay a visit to Prices Spices also! Until next time my chilli padawans, may the sauce be with you…always!
